How Do I Get An Appointment?

Outpatients

You need to be referred by a GP to use our services. All these services are available through Choose & Book, so practices can electronically refer to us, or your practice can send a referral letter to Dorking Hospital, Horsham Road, Dorking, RH4 2AA or fax to 01306 646219.

Choose and Book

Your practice will give you details of our services including a telephone number for you to call to arrange your appointment with us.

When you call we will often be able to give you an appointment date straight away.

There are a few clinics where the consultant wants to review all referrals to either make sure the most urgent problems are seen quickest or to ensure that he/she is the best person to see you. If your referral is for one of these clinics then we will take your details over the telephone and we will contact you with an appointment date as soon as your referral has been reviewed.

Referral Letter

If your practice has referred you by referral letter then we will send you an appointment letter with the first available appointment. If this appointment is not convenient then please call the number on the letter and we will try to offer you a more convenient appointment.

Dorking Practices

The six Dorking practices have electronic access direct to our appointments system. This allows the practice secretaries to directly book their patients into most of our clinics. In those cases, you will be sent an appointment letter with the first available appointment. If this appointment is not convenient then please call the number on the letter and we will try to offer you a more convenient appointment.

Ultrasound

You need to be referred by a Dorking GP to use this service. The GP will need to complete a referral form. This form needs to be sent to Dorking Hospital, Horsham Road, Dorking, RH4 2AA or faxed to 01306 646219.

Counselling

You need to be referred by a Dorking GP to use this service. Your GP has a copy of the referral form and will pass it on to the counsellor. The counsellor will then contact you to arrange an appointment.
